Hidden Content
1. Task Manager
Using your task manager is a great way of finding viruses. If there are any suspicious tasks end them and open file location.
But to find out if you have a Rat check background processes and check for a task "Windows PowerShell" if you have one but don't have PowerShell open. You've been ratted...
2. Using CMD
To find out if you have a keylogger you can use CMD.
You're probably wondering how?
Open cmd normally (NOT AS AN ADMINISTRATOR) and type "netstat".
If you find a IP with the port 4444, that is a keylogger.
Ex: 192.168.0.1:4444
3. Windows Defender
If you run Windows Defender APP and it says it's disabled by your group policy. You've got malware.
4. Windows Firewall
Check your Windows Firewall, if it's off but you haven't turned it off, then you've most likely got malware.
How do I remove malware?
1.Download and run a threat scan, then delete any suspicious files that turn up. Next restart your computer.
2. Then get a usb stick with windows on it and search up "How to reinstall Windows with usb"
Best tip to avoid all of this: Regularly back up your data in MULTIPLE places!
