range amplify rfid antenna

heya
I think I am put this post on right place.

Someone with skills in electronics.
need some info about rfid antenna amplifiers.. the regular rfid as range to >1cm . I need amplify/upgrade antenna for >25cm. if necessary needs extra backup power.. no problem.

I have tried cut original antenna and upgrade with more copper (size of a school dossier) but no works.. maybe needs more power energy ?! :S

I hope have some brilliant brain can help me with that stuf
